The forecasts presented by the almanacs are, of course, extended forecasts. We mean REALLY extended forecasts. Instead of providing day-to-day forecasts, the almanacs provide forecasts that give weekly or monthly overviews. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, these forecasts are determined by looking at solar science, meteorology, and climatology.
