SHREWSBURY — A Marlborough man is facing a second-offense shoplifting charge after police say he took multiple food items and razor sets from a Market Basket in Shrewsbury and fled the scene when confronted by store employees.
According to a Statement of Facts filed in Westborough District Court written by Shrewsbury Police Officer Ashley Ljunggren, on Dec. 12, 2025, at approximately 11:29 a.m., Richard Kenny, 42, of Marlborough, entered the Market Basket at 200 Hartford Turnpike and took multiple pre-made food items and two razor sets.
“Kenny bypassed all points of sale and walked out of the store without attempting to pay for those items that were displayed for sale,” Officer Ljunggren said…
