In a heroic display of courage, a North Smithfield dad grabbed a gun out of the Rhode Island shooter’s hand, according to a local sports reporter, Branden Mello, who cited “multiple people in the stands.” However, the shooter reportedly had a second weapon.

Several individuals sustained injuries, and three have reportedly died, including the shooter, following an active shooter situation at a boys’ hockey game at Dennis M. Lynch Arena on Andrew D. Ferland Way in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, officials confirmed.
