In early 2020, the family of James Gorman realized he could not live at home alone anymore. The Sherborn man was suffering from dementia.
His family searched for a safe place for Gorman to live and settled on Cornerstone at Milford Assisted Living Facility, according to Gorman’s daughter, Hopkinton resident Traci Lipman.
More than five years later, the family filed a lawsuit in Worcester Superior Court, saying their father was constantly harassed by another resident who assaulted and severely injured him while Cornerstone did nothing to stop it…
