Mass. man sentenced to prison in connection with PPP fraud that paid for new house

A Massachusetts man was sentenced to three years in prison after being found guilty of using fraudulent PPP loans to buy a home that cost more than $800,000.

Bill Dessaps, a 49-year-old Easton man, was sentenced on Feb. 13, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Dessaps conspired with people in Massachusetts and Florida to obtain a Paycheck Protection Program loan on behalf of a used car dealership he operated in Abington, according to prosecutors…
