Northborough PD arrests alleged ‘common and notorious’ shoplifter after theft at Wegmans

NORTHBOROUGH — At 11:06 a.m. on Feb. 19, Northborough Police Department units were dispatched to Wegmans at Shops Way after a report of a shoplifting in progress. Store employees reported a male had passed all points of purchase with $264.91 worth of merchandise.

The suspect had also allegedly exited BJ’s earlier without purchasing a $629.99 Dyson vacuum.

The suspect, identified as Vietnam Dang, was later located. He had an outstanding warrant for “common and notorious theft” out of Worcester District Court. He had previously been found guilty twice for shoplifting — once out of Worcester District Court, and once out of East Brookfield District Court — with another three convictions for larceny…
