The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that the bridge that carries the Williamsville Road over Burnshirt River in Hubbardston will be closed starting on Tuesday, March 3, at 7 a.m. to allow construction operations to take place.
The purpose of this project is to improve public safety and maintain through-travel on Williamsville Road by replacing the deteriorating bridge over Burnshirt River. While the bridge is closed for construction a temporary detour route will be in place.
During the closure, traffic will be directed to follow the signed detour route and use Burnshirt Road, Thompson Road, and Kruse Road. The bridge is scheduled to reopen to traffic in the late spring of 2027…
