The Massachusetts State Lottery announced on Thursday that Yancy Contreras Menjivar of Nantucket had cashed in her winning lottery ticket. She is the first $2 million grand prize winner in the Lottery’s new “$2,000,000 Stacked” scratch ticket.
Yancy chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $1,300,000 (before taxes). She told the Lottery that she plans on saving her winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Old South Diner, which will receive a $20,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket. Since last March, the diner sold four instant ticket prizes of $1 million or more…
