WORCESTER, Mass. – Our Cam Jandrow sits down with 2026 Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade Grand Marshal James ‘Jim’ Browne.
Browne said his Irish roots run deep, “My parents were Irish immigrants and that’s where the interest in Irishness kind of started and went to Grammar School, High School, and Junior College right here in Worcester and then I got involved with a few activities with the ancient order of Hibernians, and they had a fundraiser for social agencies, social service agencies in the north of Ireland.”
Browne is honored to be this year’s Grand Marshal, “It’s like, you know, when you first hear the news, you’re kind of like, you know, why me? I didn’t think the things that I did were all that significant, but I was also involved with a lot of other Irish things over the years, so combine it all, I guess. But yeah, it’s a wonderful honor.”…
