Driver killed in car crash in Central Mass. identified as U.S. Army veteran

A driver who died in a car crash on Route 20 in Shrewsbury last week has been identified as 28-year-old Marlborough resident Kevin Palardy, a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve, Shrewsbury police said Thursday.

A 911 caller reported the crash near 800 Hartford Turnpike around 1:20 a.m. on March 6, Shrewsbury police said previously. At the scene, officers found Palardy’s Ford sedan upside down in the roadway, as well as a Toyota sedan that had collided with the Ford after the initial crash.

Palardy was declared dead at the scene, police said. The Toyota driver was not injured…
