Lifelong Marlborough MA resident becomes city’s new fire chief

MARLBOROUGH City native Jeffrey Gogan is now the leader of his hometown fire department.

Gogan, 55, was sworn in last Friday, March 13, as Marlborough fire chief. He replaces Chief Kevin Breen, who retired in January after 10 years on the job.

“I started where I grew up, which was my ultimate goal,” Gogan told the Daily News. “I grew up in Marlborough. I graduated from Marlborough High School in 1989. This is where I wanted to be.”…
