Massachusetts Is Phasing Out E-ZPass Transponders. What You Need To Know

Massachusetts is transitioning from traditional E-ZPass transponders to windshield stickers under the EZDriveMA program. The new stickers will now be rolled out to new E-ZPass applicants and to those who need replacements for their current transponders.

Existing transponders will remain usable during a transition period, but once a windshield sticker is applied, removing the transponder from a vehicle will be mandatory.
