BURRILLVILLE – A Providence woman who reportedly spent her morning drinking in her husband’s vehicle while he worked as a security guard at Ocean State Power was arrested last week for allegedly providing false information to 911 operators.
Roslyn Bessell, age 38, called 911 twice saying she’d been dropped on the side of the roadway in front of the business on Sherman Farm Road by a guy named “Tony” following a verbal altercation on Sunday, March 15, according to police.
Officers dispatched to the scene around 10:40 a.m. spoke to Bessell, who reportedly said the security guard at the gate had witnessed the incident, and denied knowing him. Bessell told officers she had met Tony online and “had a couple of shots” but that he’d left her after she refused to have sex with him.
The guard, identified as Mcleph Tessier, denied witnessing anything, told police he’d been asleep, falsely stating he did not know Bessell, according to the arrest report…
