No threat to public in suspicious death of woman found in Burlington, police say

BURLINGTON — As they continue to investigate the suspicious death of a 26-year-old Massachusetts woman found in Burlington Sunday, state police are assuring the community that residents are not in danger.

Police have been tightlipped about the death of Janina Brooke Murphy of Marlborough, Mass. More study is needed before the precise cause of her death can be determined, Dr. James Gill from the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Friday.

According to Connecticut State Police, troopers from the Litchfield barracks were called at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday to Claire Hill Road to investigate what they called a suspicious death. The woman was found in a house on the hilly street…
