12 arrested in Worcester street takeover bust, police say

A dozen people were arrested as Worcester police worked to prevent street takeover events planned for this weekend, police in the Massachusetts city said Monday.

Police said they stopped takeovers — where groups of drivers without permits block an intersection or road to perform dangerous stunts in front of crowds — at six locations in Worcester, including Newton Square.
