ANDOVER, MA — Nearly half of likely Democratic primary voters remained undecided in March in the race for Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District, according to a poll released this month by John Beccia’s campaign that points to a wide-open contest among a crowded field of candidates.
The poll, conducted March 20-24 by Schoen Cooperman Research but not released publicly until Monday. It surveyed 450 likely Democratic primary voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points.
The survey found 46 percent of voters undecided. Among candidates, Tram Nguyen led the initial ballot test with 13 percent, followed by Beccia and Dan Koh at 10 percent each. Jamie Belsito received 6 percent, while Mariah Lancaster and Rick Jakious each received 3 percent and Beth Andres-Beck received 2 percent.
