NEWINGTON — Officers arrested two scooter operators on Saturday after they were found with handguns, according to police.
The Newington Police Department said the operators — identified as Jose Velazquez, 35, of Fitchburg, Mass., and Alexis Hernandez, 45, of Gardner, Mass. — had 9mm handguns but “were not permitted to carry them in the State of Connecticut.”
