The Huntsville Police Department’s DUI Task Force will conduct a safety checkpoint on Friday as part of its ongoing effort to reduce impaired driving and improve roadway safety.
Huntsville Police said the operation is designed to identify impaired drivers and deter dangerous driving before it leads to a crash. Officers will be looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or other impairing substances, and will also monitor for other traffic violations and unlawful activity that could pose a safety risk.
