Series of earthquakes rattle Inland Empire

Several earthquakes shook portions of the Inland Empire Tuesday.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the first quake struck at 9:36 a.m. The epicenter of the 3.2 magnitude earthquake was roughly 4 miles south-southwest of Redlands and 6 miles east-southeast of Grand Terrace, at a depth of about 2 and a half miles.

Weak shaking was felt in the nearby areas of Lake Mathews, Beaumont, Highland, Seven Oaks, Corona, Riverside, Menifee and San Jacinto, according to the USGS Shakemap…
