Greenville Jazz Fest will be held along Main Street in downtown Greenville June 12-13.
The fourth-annual festival highlights both past and present jazz. This year it will also honor the memory of Greenville native Peabo Bryson, a renowned singer-songwriter who passed away June 2. Greenville Councilmember Ken Gibson said the city will honor Bryson June 12 at 8 p.m. at the Roots Stage in downtown Greenville.
“What the true measure of community is not simply what we build, it is what we create together,” Gibson said. “It is the experiences we share, it is the conditions we establish, it is the opportunities we provide for people to connect with one another, and that is what Greenville Jazz Fest helps us do.”…
