Greensboro police investigating death of 96-year-old woman as homicide

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro police began a homicide investigation on Friday after a 96-year-old woman died.

Officers were sent at 2 a.m. on Thursday to the 1500 block of Benjamin Parkway when they were told about a person threatening suicide, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

Arriving officers heard a gun go off and forced entry into the home, where they found two people with serious injuries.
