CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — A 23-year-old Johnston man was taken into custody after he allegedly rammed his car into a Charlestown police cruiser.
Officers were called to Old Post Road shortly after midnight for a report of an erratic, wrong-way driver entering the town from South Kingstown.
When officers tried to stop the vehicle near Falcone Lane, police said the driver “rammed an occupied police cruiser and tried to flee.”…
