HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A former Greensboro officer has been charged in connection to a fatal crash last month that involved a patrol car, according to a High Point Police Department news release.
Haley L. Maeurer, 25, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and speeding 76 mph in a 35 mph zone.

On May 3, around 2:30 a.m., Maeurer was driving east on East Cone Boulevard and passing through the North O. Henry Boulevard intersection when she crashed into another vehicle that was turning left onto North O. Henry Boulevard, the release says.
