UNION COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Campobello man was arrested Saturday after allegedly dragging a woman on a highway in the presence of their 4-year-old child.
Deputies said that at 8:20 p.m., they responded to a domestic violence incident at the Circle K on Furman L. Findley Highway. Upon arrival, they found a woman inside the store with visible injuries to her leg and foot. After further investigation, 34-year-old Jacob Alan Craine was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence.
Craine was booked into the Union County Detention Center and granted a $100,000 surety bond. According to online jail records, Craine is still in the detention center as of Tuesday morning.
According to arrest warrants, Craine put a vehicle in drive while on Highway 176 and attempted to drive off, dragging the victim down the median of the highway, injuring her knee and foot. He also threatened to kill the victim during the interaction, all while in the presence of their shared 4-year-old child…
