A senior New Jersey corrections officer and five others have been charged in connection with an alleged contraband smuggling scheme at South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, according to the New Jersey Department of Corrections.
The officer, Kenneth Stinson, 39, of Penns Grove, was charged earlier this month with third-degree money laundering and introduction of contraband following an investigation that began in September 2024. Officials say Stinson conspired with several former and current inmates, as well as civilian associates, in multiple transactions.
Stinson was suspended effective March 25, 2025, corrections officials say. His attorney could not be reached to comment…
