LANTANA, Fla. (CBS12) — A deadly multi-vehicle crash took off the back half of a Mazda at the intersection of E Ocean Avenue and N Dixie Highway in Lantana on Tuesday.
Firefighters with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office say there was extensive damage to two vehicles, and three people required 10 minutes of heavy extrication to remove them from the wreckage. Two of the victims were flown in TraumaHawk helicopters to the nearest trauma center.
One of the drivers involved in the crash later died from their injuries, according to Lantana police. Authorities have not released the victim’s name…
