St. Louis man wanted for attempted rape, kidnapping at gas station

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge has signed an arrest warrant for a man accused of attempting to rape a gas station employee and threatening to kill her during an attack in the Central West End.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the attack happened on Dec. 27, 2025, at a BP gas station located in the 4400 block of Laclede Avenue.

Police said the employee had closed the store for the evening and was walking to her car when Lamont T. Wilson, 33, approached her from behind. Wilson grabbed the woman and pulled her to the rear of her vehicle, where he physically restrained her for several minutes…
