SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — An Oregon man was sentenced to 17 years in prison for selling fentanyl, resulting in the death of a Sault Ste. Marie resident, announced U.S. Attorney Timothy VerHey.
Kai Livington Packer, 25, operated various online storefronts on Snapchat and Telegram to sell pills he claimed were oxycodone or Adderall that officers found to be fentanyl and methamphetamine. Packer operated out of Eugene. Oregon as well as a previousresidece in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In February 2023, a young man from the Sault ingested pills he ordered from Packer and died of fentanyl poisoning…
