The Cook County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) in Illinois recovered more than a million dollars worth of stolen copper wire and data center equipment from a pair of stolen semi trailers.
On June 18, 2026, CCSO learned that a trailer that had been reported stolen in Pine Hill, Alabama, had been tracked to a truck yard located in the 2500 block of East Higgins Road in unincorporated Elk Grove Township.
