North Charlotte Man 46 Fatally Shot on Holly Street

A quiet north Charlotte block turned into a deadly crime scene before dawn Monday when gunfire left one man dead and rattled a Holly Street neighborhood already on edge. Authorities identified the victim as 46-year-old Jahbir Rolando Fowle, who was found with life-threatening injuries on the 2100 block of Holly Street and pronounced dead at the scene as detectives locked down the area to collect evidence and talk with witnesses.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers rolled up shortly after 1 a.m. on an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon” call and discovered Fowle suffering from gunshot wounds. Crime Scene Search combed through the site while representatives from Operations Command and Victim Services joined the response. CMPD logged the case as 20260615-0108-00 and urged anyone with information to call its tips line at 704-432-8477 (TIPS).

As reported by The Charlotte Observer, detectives confirmed Fowle’s identity and said they have “identified a person of interest and are not looking for additional suspects.” Officials have not said what they believe led up to the shooting, leaving the motive an open question for now…
