RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Public Safety released information on a fatal Sunday night wreck on FM 1541, in which one Amarillo woman died after being hit by a car.
According to Texas DPS, 26-year-old Kayla Frizzell was walking in the northbound lane of FM 1541, about two miles south of SL 335, just before 10:45 p.m. on Sunday. A passenger car was also traveling northbound on the road at that time.
Texas DPS said Frizzell was not seen by the driver “until it was too late,” and was hit by the car. Frizzell was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries…
