BESSEMER, Ala. (WDNews) — A former inmate is facing charges after Alabama Department of Corrections investigators say a drone was used in an attempt to deliver contraband near Donaldson Correctional Facility.
The investigation began after an ADOC K-9 officer responded to a public complaint about a drone and a suspicious package on state property near the prison.
When officers arrived, they recovered a drone and a large duffel bag containing suspected contraband. Investigators later identified a vehicle believed to have left the area, and the driver was stopped by law enforcement in Cleburne County…
