Corner Pantry in Lafayette shuts down after 60 years in business

LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Corner Pantry, a Lafayette convenience store that operated for 60 years near Lafayette High School, closed its doors on Tuesday as the property was sold to new owners who plan to build a Grab-N-Geaux gas station in its place.

The store, located at the corner of Foreman and Dulles drives, had been a neighborhood fixture for decades. The property’s new owners are converting the site into a chain store with six gas pumps.
