The family of Harbe Nagi will hold community visiting hours Wednesday afternoon to pay respects to the 7-year-old boy, who was found dead in a Menands swimming pool Tuesday morning after he went missing for almost three days.
Harbe’s uncle, Adam Alharbi, said in a statement that the visitation would be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Al-Hidaya Center at 322 Troy Schenectady Road in Colonie. The family plans to hold a news briefing immediately after.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, and condolences we have received during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of great strength for my family,” Alharbi wrote, later adding, “This gathering is an opportunity for those who may not be familiar with our traditional funeral customs to come together, share their support, and offer condolences.”…
