Furry convention to return to Albany for third year

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A three-day furry convention will be returning to the Capital Region for its third consecutive year. Eufuria is set to take place at the Albany Capital Center from July 23 through July 25.

According to the Eufuria website, a furry is a person who enjoys the concept of animals that think and act like people. The community reportedly emerged out of the sci-fi convention scenes of the 1980s and is now an outlet for creativity and self-expression.

This year’s adult-only convention will center around the theme “The Black Pawrade.” The event will feature games like Rock Band, Jackbox, and Halo: Combat Evolved; workshops ranging in topic from retirement finance advice to fanfiction writing feedback; art; music; panels and other activities…
