NEW HAVEN — Federal investigators cracked the case on a spate of ATM thefts along Interstate 95 last August, with surveillance video, cell-tower signals and, prosecutors say, photos of cash and images of the theft suspects stored on their own Apple and Google accounts.
That’s according to a recently unsealed federal criminal complaint detailing the scheme of four Venezuelan nationals residing in the United States, including two brothers, who the feds say stole $529,220 from ATMs at seven locations across 10 days last August.
