An 18-year-old is facing charges after investigators say about 70 shots were fired into a north Charlotte home, killing a pet cat earlier this year.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported shooting along Callahan Street, just north of Uptown, around 11 p.m. on May 11. When officers arrived, they found a house that was struck by multiple gunshots. Investigators recovered approximately 70 shell casings in the road facing the home.
According to CMPD, surveillance video showed a white Hyundai Sonata pull up to the home. Three people got out of the car and opened fire before speeding away from the house. Four people were inside the house at the time, along with two cats. One of the cats was killed. None of the people were hurt…
