A plan for more than 500 homes just over the state line in Fair Hill, Md., is generating concern in both states, with more than 1,700 people signing a petition calling for a halt to the project.
Here in Newark, the concerns focus on the impact the project will have on roads in the western part of the city.
Newark Councilman George Irvine said his main worry is the intersection of Jackson Hall School Road, Route 273 and Wedgewood Road, where the former Nutter’s restaurant is.
