Child’s seizure sparks $2M claim against Chandler Unified

The parents of a Patterson Elementary School student want more than $2 million to settle a legal claim that alleges Chandler Unified School District employees did nothing while their then 10-year-old daughter suffered a seizure and repeatedly smashed her head into the hot asphalt during a play break.

The incident took place on Sept. 13, 2023, on what the claim says was a 110-degree day.
