E-bike track opens in Louisville to give kids a legal place to ride

LOUISVILLE, Neb. (WOWT) – A new e-bike racetrack has opened in Louisville, offering children a legal and supervised place to ride amid an ongoing crackdown on illegal e-bike use on public streets in Douglas County.

The Log Yard Racetrack opened last weekend. Owner Zach McCauley, a rider himself, said he built the track in response to the problem of kids riding e-bikes illegally on public roads.

‘I don’t want the sport to die’

“We kicked it into high gear last week, and we decided I was out here every day running the machine, moving dirt to get the track that we do have built,” McCauley said.

McCauley said his goal is to grow the sport in the region rather than see it restricted…
