ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — With the Fourth of July nearly here, millions of Americans across the country are preparing to travel. While drivers heading out for Independence Day may be paying less at the pump compared to previous months, prices remain historically high for the holiday.
On Saturday, July 4, the national average price of gasoline is expected to fall to around $3.75 per gallon, according to a GasBuddy report from June 25. This will be the second-most expensive average gas price on record for Independence Day, behind the all-time high of $4.80 per gallon in 2022.
