Hawaii man avoids jail time for illegal fireworks case

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A Hawaii case tied to illegal explosive devices in Waipahu has ended with a court ruling that could eventually erase six felony charges.

Jeremy Calizo was sentenced to community service on Thursday, July 2, after pleading no contest to six felony counts involving explosive devices.

The court also granted a deferred acceptance of his no contest plea for four years and ordered him to complete 240 hours of community service…
