CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A woman who was shot in the face by a stray bullet in Charlotte last Fourth of July is asking people to think twice before recklessly firing guns.

On July 4, 2025, the bullet struck Leah Hixon in the face, shattering her jaw, while she was inside a home in north Charlotte off Jane Avenue.
