Woman describes harrowing escape from fiery I-10 Bayway crash

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A woman is describing the escape she and her husband made from their burning car on I-10.

This all happened on the afternoon of July 2 on the Bayway heading westbound, where black smoke filled the air as flames covered the car.

Autumn Caver said she and her husband were stuck in I-10 Bayway traffic when she looked up at her rearview mirror.

“All I could scream was, oh my God, Jarrett, to my husband. And that was it. I just see the truck barreling at the back of my car and then I remember spinning and days of passing out. And then it knocked me out. It knocked him out, too. It knocked us out quite a few times. But I remember spinning, and then I came to… I remember my car saying, you were just in an accident. We’re going to call 911. So they didn’t knock me back out. Like, I was just… I passed back out,” Caver said…
