Moreno says indictment of Murrill not helping city’s relations with Baton Rouge

New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno say she wants to cool tempers between New Orleans and state government.

“What’s happening over in criminal court, that’s a separate branch of government, not city hall,” Moreno said Tuesday to WWL’s Newell Normand.

“What I want to focus on now is how do we end this back-and-forth between Baton Rouge and the city?” Moreno said “And I know it’s something that’s been going on for decades and decades and decades and forever.”
