EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Canutillo Independent School District has named two new principals, including one for Deanna Davenport Elementary School, a school where three employees in the special education program there have been criminally charged with abuse.
Veronica Cervantes has been named as the new principal at Davenport Elementary, the district said.

The other new principal is Erika Pasieczny, Ph.D., who will be the new principal at Alderete Middle School.
Earlier in June, Canutillo ISD confirmed to KTSM that four employees at Davenport had been terminated after the investigation into special education abuse at the school. We asked then if then Principal Guadalupe Montañez, who was leading the school at the time, was the fourth person terminated.
