CASTRO COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Public Safety released information on a Tuesday morning crash that killed one woman from Abernathy and injured one other person on SH 194, about six miles southeast of Hart.
According to Texas DPS, 57-year-old Stacy Maureen Stone of Abernathy was driving a passenger car westbound in the eastbound lane on SH 194 at around 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer was traveling eastbound on the same road.
The driver of the semi-truck “took evasive action” to avoid hitting Stone’s car, according to Texas DPS, and entered the westbound lane. However, Stone’s car traveled back into the westbound lane and crashed into the semi-truck…
