EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 21-year-old man was arrested after driving off from a traffic stop and fleeing on foot from law enforcement in Canutillo, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin Guerrero was charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, evading arrest or detention, and unlawful carry of a weapon. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $37,500 bond.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, deputies conducted a traffic stop along the 7300 block of Doniphan Drive on a vehicle displaying an obscured license plate, according to EPCSO.
In body camera footage provided by the Sheriff’s Office, the driver, later identified as Guerrero, can be heard telling the deputy, “You guys are going overboard (in Spanish). I’m not under the influence. Do you want to do a DWI (sobriety test)?”…
