LANE COUNTY, Ore. – United Way of Lane County is awarding $800,000 over the next two years in grants to more than a dozen nonprofit organizations across the county.
The Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley is one of 18 local organizations awarded thousands in grant money through the nonprofit United Way. The club says the two-year grant will help subsidize the cost of after-school care and summer programs for Lane County youth.
“We are so excited to be able to be awarded a grant through United Way that really will help the hundreds of kids that come through our door after school and in the summer to have a safe place to be, access to mentors, access to food, all while keeping the fees intentionally low,” Ivey said…
