ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – Some sunshine is returning to Southcentral and the Interior, following a wet Thursday. While temperatures have been cool the last few days, temperatures begin their climb back into the 70s and 80s later today and tomorrow for Southcentral and the Interior. Per usual, the warmest weather will be in the Interior, while Southcentral holds onto highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Get outside and soak up the sunshine today and the first part of tomorrow, as a wetter weather pattern is set to build back into the state.
SOUTHCENTRAL:
Overcast skies persist in parts of the Mat-Su this morning and across parts of Western Prince William Sound, while the rest of Southcentral is either seeing clearing skies or sunshine. Today will be a beautiful day across the region, with highs set to warm back into the 70s, while coastal areas largely stay in the 60s. Some gusty winds have been with Seward and Kodiak for the first part of the day, but those winds should subside through the early afternoon.
